At a UN session on counterterrorism Tuesday, Croatian President Stipe Mesic took a swipe at the pre-emptive approach by President George W. Bush's administration by saying it has "compromised" the global fight against terrorism.
Mesic said that any global solidarity with the US had "deflated" because it seemed the war on terrorism had turned into "a kind of exclusive competence of one country, or of a group of countries which it led." (AP)
