Pro-Palestinian protestors interrupt Clinton confirmation hearing
About a half-dozen pro-Palestinian protesters sat quietly through Hillary Clinton's confirmation hearing for the position of US secretary of state. They held signs pleading for a ceasefire in Gaza, and as the hearing adjourned for lunch shouted: "What about the people of Gaza?" and "Stand up, Hillary, we need your voice for the people of Gaza."
Clinton left without acknowledging the protesters, who quietly filed out for lunch with the rest of the audience. (Reuters)
