Hamas official: Progress exists only in media
Muhammad Nazal, a member of Hamas' political bureau, told al-Jazeera, "We have not accepted the Egyptian ceasefire initiative, but we have not rejected it either. We presented our reservations about the proposal and if they are not taken into account – we cannot accept it."
Nazal said that in his opinion "the talk of progress only exists in the media," and stressed that "Hamas is unwilling to agree on a permanent ceasefire because the significance of this would be to halt the resistance." (Roee Nahmias)
