Iran welcomes Obama's message, but says 'concrete measures needed'

Ali Akbar Javanfekr, an advisor to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, says his country welcomes the video message released by US President Barack Obama in honor of the country's spring festival, but clarifies that there is need for concrete measures in order to fix the mistakes of the past.

"The United States must recognize past mistakes, fix them and put aside the differences between the two countries," Javanfekr said Friday. In the message, Obamas said that the US was interested in resuming its ties with Iran. (AFP)
