Peres tells US envoy Mitchell talks of strike in Iran is nonsense
President Shimon Peres met with US Envoy to the Middle East George Mitchell on Thursday and told him that "all this talk about a possible strike in Iran is nonsense – the solution in Iran is not military".
Peres added that broad international cooperation was needed to deal with the Iranian matter, and the sincerity of talks with Iran should be examined. Mitchell said the US was completely committed to Israel's security and told Peres his administration is also committed to the two state solution. (Roni Sofer)
