Jordan's King Abdullah II welcomed Pope Benedict XVI in Amman on Friday and urged the kind to open reopen dialogue between the Muslim and Christian worlds.
The pope stressed his deep respect for the Muslim community and said, "Religious freedom is, of course, a fundamental human right." (AFP)
