ACRI: Nakba law inhibits freedom of speech

Sami Michael, president of the Association for Civil Rights in Israel, said in response to a bill prohibiting the day of mourning Palestinians call the Nakba that "in the past year we have been witnessing a worrying decline of the protection of freedom of speech".

Michael added that "the marking of the Nakba does not threaten Israel's security", and said the bill "crosses all lines on the path to oppressing the freedom of expression granted to us all". (Daniel Edelson)
