Netanyahu: Former President Katzir was a man of public mission

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said during the weekly cabinet meeting that former President Ephraim Katzir, who died Saturday, was "a man with personal skills and a public mission, who divided his life between science and security. The State of Israel lost one of its dearest sons."

Defense Minister Ehud Barak said that Katzir was "a model of real citizenship and great deeds in favor of the State of Israel's science and security." (Roni Sofer)
