Barak tells Mitchell Israel will evacuate outposts within weeks
Defense Minister Ehud Barak told the US's envoy to the Middle East, George Mitchell, that "Israel is committed to evacuating 23 illegal outposts within weeks or months".
The two met in London for an hour and a half. Barak's affiliates have summed the meeting up as positive and say progress was made on the issue of construction in settlements ad dialogue with the Palestinians. (Roni Sofer)
