UN urges restraint following south Lebanon clash

The UN envoy to Lebanon Michael Williams has called for restraint following a clash between villagers and peacekeepers in the south near the site of a suspected Hezbollah weapons depot that recently exploded.

Williams also called on Israel to end daily flights over Lebanon, which he said were "serious violations" of a cease-fire that ended a month-long war between Israel and Hezbollah troops in 2006. (AP)
