UN, Hezbollah seek to ease Lebanon tensions

A UN envoy to Lebanon is urging calm following a meeting with the militant group Hezbollah designed to ease tensions after UN troops were lightly injured in a clash with villagers in the Hezbollah stronghold of southern Lebanon.

Michael Williams said Tuesday that he will also travel to Israel to discuss the situation along the border in southern Lebanon where Hezbollah and Israel fought a devastating war in 2006. (AP)
