Polish soldier killed in Afghanistan

Poland's Defense Ministry says a Polish soldier has been killed and five others wounded by a roadside bomb in eastern Afghanistan.

The ministry said in a statement on Saturday that platoon leader Marcin Poreba was killed late Friday when a bomb exploded under the armored vehicle in which he and five other soldiers were traveling. (AP)
