Pelephone offers soldiers reduced rates

Leading mobile service provider, Association for the Wellbeing of Israel's Soldiers sign deal meant to ensure special service rates for servicemen

Leading mobile communications provider Pelephone and the Association for the Wellbeing of Israel's Soldiers (AWIS) signed a three-year agreement on Sunday according to which soldiers will be offered reduced rates that will save them significant amounts of money each month.

 

AWIS Chairman Avigdor Kahalani said during the signing ceremony at Pelephone's offices in Givatayim, "It is important to us that soldiers enjoy the best possible rates, also in the cell phone field, and I thank Pelephone on the troops' behalf."

 

Pelephone CEO Gil Sharon said, "Beyond the fact that the deal with AWIS marks a business milestone, we at Pelephone are committed to contribute to the welfare of IDF soldiers.

 

"More than 350,000 people have subscribed to our new network, among them tens of thousands of youngsters and soldiers," he added. "This new network provides us with the opportunity to offer soldiers the best value for their money, in addition to a wide variety of cell phones and advanced content and data services."

 

AWIS Director-General Tzion Sapir thanked Pelephone for the "special effort it made for the benefit of IDF soldiers.
