Int'l report: Israeli classrooms among most crowded in world

The average number of students in the Israeli classroom is among the highest in the world, according to an OECD report. The average number of students in an Israeli primary school is 27, as opposed to the average 21 in developed countries.

 

The report paints a worrisome picture in regard to teachers' salaries. Israel is ranked 29th out of 32 countries in regards to teachers' salaries. The average Israeli teacher's salary is less than half the international average for teachers' salaries. (Yaheli Moran Zelikovich)
