Peres meets with Canadian FM, protests Goldstone Report
President Shimon Peres met Wednesday morning with Canadian Foreign Minister Lawrence Cannon at the Israeli Presidential Conference in Jerusalem. Cannon said during the meeting that Canada was willing to resume the activity of the refugee committee and to help promote the peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians."
Peres thanked Cannon, but criticized the Goldstone Report, which accuses Israel of committing war crimes in Gaza and has been adopted by the UN Human Rights Council. (Roni Sofer)
