Erekat says Palestinians reject US proposal for renewal of peace talks
Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeeb Erekat said the Palestinian Authority has rejected an offer by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for the renewal of peace talks with Israel based on agreements reached between the US and Israel on the issue of settlement construction.
Ynet has learned that the US proposed a renewal of talks based on the freezing of West Bank settlements, but without a public commitment to this by Israel. (Ali Waked)
