Twenty-five officers and reserve soldiers from the Shimshon Battalion wrote a harsh letter to their commanders, expressing support of the battalion's cadets that protested against the evacuation of the West Bank settlement of Homesh during a ceremony at the Western Wall a few weeks ago.
In their letter the soldiers called for an "end to being occupied with all kinds of political whims, and a return to the real national missions – a crushing war against terrorists and enemies." The letter was addressed to Shomron Brigade commander Itzik Bar, and commander of the Shimshon Battalion Zion Shenkor. (Efrat Weiss)
