Report: Iranian opposition leaders flee to north

Iranian opposition leaders Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karubi left Tehran for the north of the country, according to official Iranian news agency IRNA.

The report mentioned no names, but noted that "two figures central to the post-election riots escaped from Tehran to the north due to increasing public demands to put them on trial." Recently, several members of parliament have demanded that Mousavi and Karubi be tried following the riots. (Dudi Cohen)
