Haiti official: 40,000 bodies buried, another 100,000 people likely dead

Haitian authorities have buried 40,000 bodies and believe another 100,000 people probably died in this week's earthquake, a senior official told Reuters on Friday.

Aramick Louis, secretary of state for public safety, also said gangs were starting to take to the streets and the government's main fear was a surge in violence. (Reuters)
