Y-Style: January short list
January favorites: Six key pieces that are wardrobe must-haves for every Fashionista. From chain strap bags to over the knee boots and statement scarves, here are some of the items I am wild about this month. You should be too!
Over the knee boots

Rejuvenate your wardrobe with bold colored tights. Bright solid-colored tights are the latest fashion extravaganza. I am not sure how this trend got started, but it is in full swing this season. Mix with a long blazer and boots or a dress and heels; they’re a perfectly chic—and inexpensive—way to add warmth stylishly when temperatures drop.

Introducing the statement scarf. Like the statement necklace only for winter wear. These iconic, versatile pieces lend a much needed buzz to any otherwise subdued winter outfit. The best part is one size fits all, so they’ll always work on everyone!
Knit vest
Long, zipped, buttoned or wrapped, this woven knit piece adds an extra layer without being too bulky. They work well either as an additional layer under your coat or alone over the basic first layer. Plus with so many choices, styles and colors out there you are bound to find one that’s perfectly you.
Bright coats
When it's cold outside, your coat is the first thing people see; so the perfect coat is always a great investment piece. This season instead of the traditional black, gray or navy try one in an eye-catching color, like cobalt blue, royal purple, siren red or even sunlight gold. These warmer colors will help you get through winter by adding a daily hint of spring to come in every outfit.

This clever extra adornment adds instant flair and dresses up any look without being overly flashy. They’re great for evening events, work lunch meetings or even just out and about day shopping with friends.
