Kadima to pull proposal to probe New Israel Fund
The Kadima faction has decided not to submit its proposal to appoint a parliamentary commission of inquiry into the New Israel Fund. Earlier, the Labor faction decided to oppose the proposal if the Knesset were to vote on it.
During a Kadima faction meeting it was decided that the inquiry would continue as part of the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee. A report released recently determined that the New Israel Fund financed associations which transferred testimonies to the UN's Goldstone committee. (Attila Somfalvi)
