Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the Palestinian criticism of Israel's decision to include the Cave of the Patriarchs and Rachel's Tomb on its list of national heritage sites, and said that Israel is committed to protecting freedom of worship for all religions at the holy sites.
"This policy will also be applied at the Cave of the Patriarchs, at which the State operates at all times to ensure suitable worship conditions for Jews and Muslims. Evidence of this is the renovation work being completed currently at the entryway and along the path that leads to the Muslims' worship hall at the site," Netanyahu said. (Roni Sofer)
