Erekat: Abbas told Arab League he will not renew peace talks
Chief Palestinian neogiator Saeb Erekat confirmed that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas notified the Arab League that he does not intend to renew peace talks with Israel unless construction is frozen in east Jerusalem.
Erekat thus verified statements made by Arab League Secretary-General Amr Moussa on Wednesday night that Abbas told him at the end of the League's emergency session in Cairo that he will not enter indirect talks with Israel because of Israeli building in east Jerusalem. (AFP)
