J'lem Municipality: Sheikh Jarrah project approved in 2009
The Jerusalem Municipality issued a statement following Ynet's report that a new construction project was approved in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of east Jerusalem, saying the report was "inaccurate and meant as provocation while the prime minister in visiting the United States."
The construction, added the statement, "Was approved by the zoning committee in July of 2009. The committee's approval is final and it was publicized at the time. The landowners paid their tolls on March 15, 2010, and the payment was followed by an automatic approval." (Ronen Medzini)
