Saudi Arabia condemned statements made by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu currently visiting Washington and demanded the Quartet provide clarifications regarding Israel's policy and its determination to disregard the international community's will, a statement issued by Riyadh's official news agency noted.
The statement further noted that Saudi Arabia was astounded by the statements which questioned the peace process. Netanyahu claimed that complying with the Palestinian demand to freeze construction in east Jerusalem may delay the political process by a year. (AFP)
