An IDF soldier was lightly wounded in a clash between soldiers and residents of the West Bank village of Yitzhar, south of Nablus. The IDF reported that the settlers tried to enter the nearby village, Madma, and the soldiers presented them with a closed military zone
order in order to block their entry to the village.
It was also reported that a clash broke out during which settlers assaulted the wounded soldier and threw stones at the IDF force. In addition, the settlers reported punctured the tires of the soldiers' military vehicle. The settlers claimed that the soldiers expelled a group of hikers for no apparent reason and fired a live bullet in the air. (Shmulik Grossman)
