Teens suspected of raping 12-year-old outside school
Police arrest four teenage boys in Bat Yam suspected of raping girl who was involved with one of them over two-year period
Police arrested four teenage boys aged 13-17 from Bat Yam on Monday suspected of raping a 12-year-old girl who was involved with one of them. According to suspicions, the teens repeatedly raped the girl over a period of two years, in public locations including outside their school.
Four suspects were arrested in their homes and were accompanied to the police station by their parents. An additional boy was arrested shortly after. They are all slated to face a remand hearing after being interrogated.

A complaint was filed by the victim last week, however police waited to apprehend the suspects until after Lag B'Omer.
Police sources noted that the victim consented to the sexual relations, however they are considered statutory rape due to the girl's age.
The suspects do not have criminal records.
One of suspects' mother told Ynet outside the police station, "I'm in utter shock. My child is a good boy. I hope it ends well."
Attorney Hagit Rachmani-Weiss of the Public Defender's Office who is representing one of the 13-year-old suspects said, "The complainant tried to associate herself with a group of teens playing soccer in the neighborhood, disrupted them during the game, tried to offer them candy and wanted to be my client's girlfriend. She asked him to kiss her and he agreed. She sought his attention many times, and most times he refused. "
The trial of the 14 teens suspected of the Tel Aviv gang rape affair opened last week in the city's district court.
According to the indictment, the suspects raped a teenage girl for years, since she was 15. The indictment includes counts of aggravated rape, indecent acts, accessory to rape, assault and sodomy.
