Barak holds Gaza flotilla organizers responsible for outcome of raid
Defense Minister Ehud Barak placed responsibility for the deadly incident on the Gaza aid flotilla on its organizers. Speaking at a press conference, he said, "They were urged to unload the aid at the Ashdod Port and transfer it to Gaza through land.
"There is no hunger in Gaza and there is no humanitarian crisis. The area is ruled by a terror organization, Hamas, which possess rockets that threatened Israel and its soldiers. Therefore, Israel has the natural right to examine all cargo entering the Strip. The sail was a provocation. The organization behind the flotilla is not a humanitarian aid organization." (Ynet)
