Opposition Chairwoman Tzipi Livni responded to the torching of the mosque near Hebron, saying that "this is a non-Jewish act which completely contradicts the values of Judaism."
Speaking in a meeting with Jewish leaders in New York, Livni added that "this is a serious and dangerous act which is being used as a weapon in the hands of Israel's enemies and plays into the hands of those seeking to hurt Jews. This act must be denounced on all levels." (Roni Sofer)
