A way out, at last, for Chile's 33 trapped miners
Sixty-six agonizing days after their gold and copper mine collapsed above them, 33 miners were offered a way out Saturday as a drill broke through to their underground purgatory.
The drill's success was announced with the blast of a siren that prompted cheers, tears and embraces across "Camp Hope," where families of the miners have kept vigil since the August 5 disaster. (AP)
