Vatican backs synod's criticism against Israel
The Vatican backed a statement issued by the Synod of Bishops of the Middle East over the weekend, which called the international community to "end the Israeli occupation."
Vatican Spokesperson Father Federico Lombardi said the statement that was issued during a press conference at the end of the synod convention reflects the opinion of all synod members. (AFP)
