Bomb found in Northern Ireland

Police in Northern Ireland detonated a bomb on Saturday planted by suspected nationalist militants in Lurgan, south of Belfast, the latest in a series of attempts to destabilise the province's peace process.

Police were also investigating a suspicious vehicle in the long-term carpark at Belfast International Airport. The alert is not linked to bombs bound for the United States, a police spokesman said. (Reuters)
