Shalom: Daylight Saving Time should be imposed until end of October

Vice Prime Minister Silvan Shalom said Sunday that Daylight Saving Time should be imposed until the end of October by law "as in most Western countries."

"Jews fast in countries where the clock does not change early. There is no doubt this does not justify the waste of energy and money that shortening Daylight Saving Time causes," he said. Shalom made the statements during a Likud ministers meeting and noted he previously asked that the matter be put on the government's agenda. (Attila Somfalvi)
