Mofaz: Palestinians understand unilateral declaration is dangerous
Chairman of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee MK Shaul Mofaz (Kadima) said that "The Palestinian leadership understands that a unilateral declaration of a Palestinian state is dangerous".
In his first statements since he was appointed to the role of chairman of the committee, Mofaz addressed the announcements made by Brazil and Argentina in which they recognize an independent Palestinian state and said that "these are expressions of sympathy from a number of countries, and no more than that. The difference between these statements and UN recognition is immeasurable." (Roni Sofer)
