Ambassador Oren: Despite failed talks, Israel wants more F-35 planes
Israeli Ambassador to the United States told the Bloomberg news agency that Israel would insist on security guarantees before agreeing to freeze construction in the settlements or set borders for a Palestinian state.
Oren said the talks on an additional building moratorium failed because the Palestinians refused to accept a deal which did include Jerusalem. He noted that Israel still expected to attain the 20 F-35 planes offered in return for renewing the freeze. (Ynet)
