PM considering building fence in Arava to prevent infiltration
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said during a meeting of the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee that he is considering the possibility of expanding the Egyptian border's fence into the Arava in order to prevent infiltrations. "Spain did the same thing to prevent infiltrations from North African states," he said.
The prime minister said that "the plan is to build a fence in the Arava on the Jordanian border. We're looking into this in order to prevent infiltration from other countries." He also addressed Egypt's efforts to prevent smuggling and infiltration. (Roni Sofer)
