High Court petition: Revoke selling of Shepherd Hotel lot
The family of PA-appointed mufti of Jerusalem, Sheikh Muhammad Ahmad Hussein, has filed a petition to the High Court of Justice demanding to revoke the stipulation of the property where the Shepherd Hotel was built to the Jerusalem Development Authority and cancel the selling of the lot to a company owned by Irwin Moskovitch.
They claimed they are the original owners of the land in east Jerusalem's Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood where The Shepherd Hotel was built. The family also said that the property was transferred without a formal bid process and secretly and with no public announcement. (Aviad Glickman)
