Lieberman on Goldstone: Human Rights Council conclusions not valid
Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman addressed Richard Goldstone's statement about him reconsidering his report on Israel and war crimes during the 2008 conflict in the Gaza Strip. Lieberman told Ynet: "From now on any conclusions and discussions at the Human Rights Council regarding Israel have no validity. The price we paid for the past two years dealing with this was worth it."
Lieberman added: "The Goldstone Report still affects us till this day. After that report two more reports were published discussing the repercussions of the Goldstone Report. They all reached the same conclusion: There was no deliberate firing at the civil population, and there is a judicial system in the State of Israel." (Attila Somfalvi)
