Jordan recognizes Libyan rebels

Jordan says it recognizes the Libyan rebels' National Transitional Council as the legitimate representative of the Libyan people.

Several countries, including France and Italy, have recognized the NTC. The United States, Britain and others have not done so but have established a diplomatic presence in Libya's eastern coastal city of Benghazi. (AP)
