The Jerusalem Magistrate's Court remanded both for six days.
The two, who are childhood friends, were arrested following an undercover investigation by the Police Internal Affairs Bureau (IAB) and the International Fraud Unit.
Both Nefrin and Davidov denied the allegations, but an IAB source told Ynet that investigators were looking into several other persons of interest believed to be Nefrin's accomplices.
Attorney Adi Keidar, for Nefrin, told Ynet that his client "denies these allegations and is exercising his right to remain silent.
"This is an outstanding Border Guard officer. It is possible criminal elements are implicating him in this case."
Attorney Meron Rosenthal, for Davidov, said his client had "nothing to do with any criminal transactions. This will all soon blow over."
