6 rockets hit Israel; IDF strikes Gaza

Qassams fired from Strip explode in open areas in southern Israel throughout day; no injuries reported. IDF reportedly strikes Hamas targets late Thursday

Two Qassam rockets fired from the northern Gaza Strip Thursday evening exploded in open areas in southern Israel within minutes of each other.

 

 

Three Qassam rockets fired from Gaza Thursday afternoon also exploded in open areas in in the south, as the rate of attacks from the Strip again picked up. No injuries or damages were reported in the latest attacks. The Color Red anti-rocket alert was activated in the area several times during the day.

 

Late Thursday, Israeli aircraft struck several Hamas targets in Gaza following the rocket attacks, Palestinian news agency Ma'an reported. The strikes targeted the Gaza City region and the Khan Younis area.

 

No injuries were reported in the IDF strikes. The army later confirmed that it struck in Gaza

 

Palestinian terrorists also fired a rocket at southern Israel Thursday morning. The projectile landed in an open area in Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council. No injuries or damage were reported.

 

The Color Red alert sounded prior to the explosion. So far, security instructions for the area's residents have remained unchanged, and their everyday routine is maintained.

 

Air Force jets struck Gaza targets overnight, in response to Qassam fire on southern Israel.

 

The strike targeted two terror tunnels in south Gaza and a third in its north. The military confirmed the targets were destroyed.

 

The military said that Israel holds Hamas responsible for the rocket fire on Israel.
