Syria launches military offensives in Hama, Homs; 2 dead
The Syrian security forces launched an offensive in Hama on Monday, while two people were shot dead by police in Homs, a human rights group activist said.
"More than 30 military vehicles raided Hama this morning, and heavy gunfire was heard in the city," said Omar Idleb, spokesman for Local Coordination Committees (LCC), one of the groups that coordinates the protests against Syrian President Bashar Assad. (AFP)
