The Labor party election committee has confirmed the results of the first round of the elections for party chairman. Knesset Member Sheli Yachimovich received 14,203 votes which constitute 32.2% of the vote.
MK Amir Peretz who received 13,616 votes, 30.9% of the vote will join her in the second round. MK Yitzhak Herzog received 10,848 votes (24.6%) and Amram Mitzna received 5,244 votes (11.9%). (Attila Somfalvi)
