Erekat urges Israel to take advantage of Quartet proposal
Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat called on Israel to "take advantage" of the Quartet proposal on Friday. "We are willing to meet our commitments in the framework of the road map and international law but Israel must respond and stop the colonization of the West Bank and east Jerusalem," he said.
The Quartet on Friday called on Israel and the Palestinians to meet within one month and set a timeframe for the resumption of direct talks which will conclude by the end of 2012. (AFP)
