Israel population count nears 8 million

The Central Bureau for Statistics reported that Israel's population count has reached 7,797,400, of whom 5,874,300 are Jews and 1,600,100 are Arabs. The 217,000 migrant workers who reside in Israel were not counted in the consensus.

Also according to the data, the Jewish population growth rate in 2010 was 1.7%, the Arab population growth rate was 2.5% and growth in other sectors was 1.7%. (Ynet)
