Efrat Peled, 37, chairwoman and CEO of Arison Investments, has made it to Fortune magazine's annual list of the 50 Most Powerful Women in Business.
Peled runs Shari Arison's private and international investment company, as well as the billionaire's private fortune.
Peled, who ranked 44th, is the only Israeli on the prestigious list of leading businesswomen outside the United States.

Arison Investments' holdings include Bank Hapoalim, the Shikun & Binui real estate group, Salt Industries Ltd. and international water company Miya. In total, Peled is in charge of business operations worth $5.1 billion.
According to Fortune, "Last year she was invited to join the Clinton Global Initiative's LEAD group of 22 young leaders." The magazine also marked Peled as one of the 10 global women on the rise this year.
The 50 Most Powerful Women in Business is led by Cynthia Carroll, CEO of British mining company Anglo American and the first woman to hold the job. She is followed by Gail Kelly, CEO of Australia's Westpac bank; Marjorie Scardino, CEO of London-based global media and education company Pearson; and Barbara Kux, CEO of Siemens AG in Germany.
Chanda Kochhar, CEO of India's ICIC Bank, concludes the top five.
