PA official: Interim Gov't to be declared Feb. 18
Azzam al-Ahmad, a member of the Fatah Executive Comittee and head of the Fatah delegation to the talks with Hamas, said that the composition of the new Palestinian government will be announced on February 18 in Cairo. The Interim government will be in place until the presidential and general elections take place later in 2012.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Hamas Politburo Chief Khaled Mashaal met Monday in Qatar, where they signed an agrreement satating Abbas will act as PM FO interim government. (Elior Levy)
