Netanyahu: Many friends are standing by Israel

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has come back to Israel after visiting the US and Canada. "Tonight we will read the Book of Esther, about the days when Jews weren't masters of their own fate and could not defend themselves," he said upon his return. "Today we live in a different world and a different era. We have a strong state and a strong army.

"The threats aren't gone, but we can protect ourselves," he added. "We have many friends standing by us, and will continue doing so at all times." (Attila Somfalvi)
