Steinitz approves mental health care reform

The social-political cabinet headed by Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz has unanimously approved a proposal to carry out a reform in the field of mental health.

The reform is set to cost Israel some NIS 300 million a year. Its aim is to place mental health care under the HMOs' responsibility, turning it away from the Health Ministry. (Carmit Reuven)
