Givati soldier missing; family fears for his life
Hundreds are searching for IDF private Neta Brand, who has been missing since Wednesday morning. Family says he took his service rifle with him; add they fear he may harm himself
Hundreds of soldiers, police officers and volunteers have been searching for missing IDF private Neta Brand, since the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Brand, who is a Givati Brigade serviceman, was last seen leaving his house in Givat Yeshayahu, a moshav in the Valley of Elah, which is just south of Beit Shemesh.
The search is currently focused in Givat Yeshayahu's immediate radius. A police command post has been set in the area.
Both military and police K-9 units are assisting in the search.
His family said the he left the house with his service rifle, adding that they fear that he may harm himself.
Military sources told Ynet the reasons for Brand's disappearance are most likely personal and that the matter is not security-related.
Authorities urge the public to assist in the search and contact the Police 100 emergency line should he be spotted by anyone.
